SSL Security Certificates – FREE with our Cloud Hosting

Here’s why you need SSL :

Google Chrome is starting to mark sites that don’t use HTTPS as insecure. Even if you don’t have an online store.

For several years they’ve been promoting a policy of “HTTPS everywhere”, but recently they’ve really started to ramp it up. On August 18, they sent this notice to all webmasters:

Starting October 2017, Chrome (version 62) will show a “NOT SECURE” warning when users enter text in a form on an HTTP page, and for all HTTP pages in Incognito mode. Any pages on your site that include text input fields (such as quote forms, contact forms, order forms) will now trigger the new Chrome warning.

In other words, any site with a form not using secure connection will get stamped with a big, bold “NOT SECURE” warning from Chrome.

You don’t have to take my word for it — read about it here. https://blog.chromium.org/2017/04/next-steps-toward-more-connection.html

Thanks to Google’s new policy, you could see a huge drop in traffic as users navigate away from your site.

With the recent uptick in cyber attacks, cyber terrorism, and cybercrime around the world, people are being very cautious about which sites they choose to visit or share personal information with. If we’ve learned anything from the past, every other browser will soon follow Google’s example, like dominos falling in a row. Pretty soon, every single browser will be stamping that big “NOT SECURE” warning on any page that isn’t using secure connection (SSL certificates in technical terms).

Regardless of how we feel about what Google Chrome is doing, the fact is, we all want that traffic.

We don’t want to scare our users off.

And we want to offer them a secure, safe experience on our site.

Which means users across the world will be tripping over themselves to leave any site that’s insecure.

So there’s only one option at this point: get an SSL certificate.

Green Hosting

Our servers have signed a Renewable Energy Contract with Green Mountain Energy® since 2011 for carbon offset solutions

At Juicy Wellness we know how important security is for our customers.

This is why server security is one of our top priorities. Here is just a small part of the measures we have taken to keep our servers and your websites secure.

  • By default, we have set all servers to use the latest PHP 7 version with the latest security fixes.
  • We are running Apache in a chrooted environment with suExec.
  • We have sophisticated IDS/IPS systems which block malicious bots and attackers.
  • ModSecurity is installed on all of our shared servers and we update our security rules weekly, thus protecting our customers from the most common attacks.

With various means of DDOS protection and here are some of its key features:

  • A hardware firewall filtering flooding traffic.
  • A local software firewall based on iptables with more complex functions and traffic monitoring.
  • All services have a limit for the number of connections a remote host can establish.
  • We also check for high number of failed login attempts from hosts and filter if any.

Unfortunately, the above is not always enough. Most web applications require constant attention and updates to remain safe from the latest security vulnerabilities.
